Sold Onion Frying Machine to Pakistan Customer

As a key ingredient widely used in ready-to-eat foods, seasoning packets, and culinary toppings, the market demand for fried onions continues to grow. Pakistan not only possesses abundant onion cultivation resources but is also a major onion producer in South Asia.

Recently, a client from Pakistan partnered with us to purchase an onion frying machine to expand their existing fried onion production line. The client already operates a production line that has been running for years—featuring a complete process flow including slicing, dehydration, frying, and de-oiling—and already possesses a frying unit. With the continuous growth of orders, the client decided to add another onion frying machine and integrate it into the existing system to further boost overall processing capacity.

From Expanding Capacity to Optimizing Production Layout:

The client initially considered simply replacing their existing unit with a larger frying machine. However, after a comprehensive analysis of the factory site, current equipment performance, and future growth plans, they concluded that adding a second fryer would better meet their actual needs.

On one hand, the existing equipment was operating reliably and remained highly valuable. On the other hand, adding a frying station would allow the upstream slicing and dewatering processes to fully utilize their capacity. It would also enable simultaneous operation of both units during peak seasons, while allowing for flexible use of just one unit during off-peak periods based on the production schedule—thereby balancing production efficiency with energy consumption. The client required the new unit to integrate seamlessly into the existing production line; it had to ensure consistent frying quality while maintaining excellent compatibility with the existing conveyor system, de-oiling equipment, and control processes.

Developing Equipment Solutions Based on On-Site Conditions:

During project discussions, we gained a detailed understanding of the client’s existing factory layout, workshop dimensions, frying capacity, and the specifications of upstream and downstream equipment. Taking the client’s daily production schedule into account, we developed a tailored design for the new equipment.

As the client’s existing production line had been in operation for years with a relatively fixed equipment layout, the design for the new equipment had to carefully consider installation positioning, material flow direction, and operator workspace to avoid disrupting the established production process.

Using the factory floor plan provided by the client, our technical team optimized the equipment dimensions, infeed and discharge heights, and connection interfaces. This ensured the newly purchased onion frying machine could be seamlessly integrated into the existing system, thereby minimizing on-site modification work and shortening the installation and commissioning period.

Meanwhile, to ensure consistency in the color, oil content, and texture of the fried onions produced by both units, we adjusted the frying temperature, conveying speed, and heating method of the new equipment based on the client’s existing process parameters, thereby enabling both machines to deliver stable and uniform processing results.

Once the new onion frying machine is put into operation, the enterprise can assign production tasks to different units based on product specifications—such as processing onion slices of varying thicknesses or adjusting process parameters to meet specific customer orders—thereby enhancing production flexibility. Furthermore, the two units can serve as backups for one another; if one undergoes maintenance, the other can continue production, thereby minimizing financial losses caused by downtime.
